September, 2007 - Present Product Manager - Opera Software ASA (www.opera.com) Oslo, Norway

Took charge of co-ordinating requirements between Engineering, Marketing, Sales and various external business partners. Created product roadmaps, defined product specifications and executed complete product release cycles for the following products:

  • Opera Unite (Desktop): Led three successful internal releases before co-ordinating the final public launch after which I managed the Product Marketing team
  • Opera Widgets (Desktop and Devices): Defined specifications and roadmaps for multi-platform integration
  • Opera Web Mail (Desktop and Devices): Initiated and followed up on public service upgrades. Re-negotiated contracts with service partners and managed the team working on new packages
January, 2007 - January 2009 International Liaison - The Web Standards Project (www.webstandards.org/action/ilg/) Chandigarh and Bangalore, India

Established the Indian chapter of International Liaison Group for The Web Standards Project (WaSP) aimed at the growing developer community. Actively educated and promoted the following:

Started and led the Developer Relations department in India. Was the first employee of the Opera India office and worked independently.
